Otunba Olusegun Runsewe
Director General, NTDC
Vision
His vision is to employ a practical and upbeat approach to tourism; jettisoning the armchair pattern and using the media as a potent consciousness-raising instrument to carry the message of tourism to the streets and hinterland. This strategy would be complemented by the involvement of taxi drivers, airlines, the introduction of Automated Teller Machine (ATM) tourist cards and other stakeholders' related approach.
Mission
To inculcate a culture of recreation in future generations by encouraging the creation of Youth Tourism Clubs in schools as well as stimulation of interest in leisure activity amongst adults. The latter objective would be achieved through extensive and aggressive marketing and promotion of the tourist attractions that abound in each state. His experience as a professional marketer, media consultant, publisher and astute administrator would go a long way in repositioning the Corporation.
